First and foremost: Jack has scans today and tomorrow. Please pray for NED results. NED, NED, NED.
Second: So I made a promise to blog more. Fail.
Sigh.
No big exciting original blog today, either. Today I'm going to steal a friends blog theme. Thanks Leigh-Leigh!
Welcome to i-Tunes Tuesday! I will set my iPod to random shuffle...ignore the songs I never listen to anyway and really need to be deleted...and write down the song that pops up and tell you why I love them. So...let's shuffle off to Buffalo!
1. "Please Don't Leave Me" by Pink. Ohmagosh I heart Pink. I saw her in concert about two years ago with two girlfriends and I can say she puts on one heck of a show! This song sort of reminds me of me...I act all tough and obnoxious at times, but I am a giant mush when it comes to Scott and I need him like I need to breathe.
2. "The Story Of Us" by Taylor Swift. Is there anything cuter than her? No, I don't think so. She has always reminded me of my sister, Nikki. Why? I don't know. Probably because she's effortlessly adorable in every way and every one loves her. I realize she doesn't have the greatest voice on the planet, but it's cute and her song writing ability is amazing. And I can't wait to hear the one she writes about Jake Gyllenhaal... Scott also has a major crush on her, and I can't figure out if that's creepy, or not....
3. "Edge Of The Earth" by 30 Seconds to Mars. Holy moly can their lead singer, Jared Leto, belt it out!! Funny, the ole shuffle chose my least favorite of their songs...but that's the chance you take when you feel like being a rebel and allow an electronic to dictate your tunes.
4. "From Yesterday" by 30 Seconds to Mars. Mmmmmk. Sooooooo, I guess Little Miss iPod has a crush on Jared Leto. This song, unlike the previous, I do love. It really showcases his vocals even though it's such a dark song. For some reason I always picture a guy fresh home from a war, not wanting to face his yesterday. I know, I'm weird. I always envision like a mini-movie in my head when I listen to a song...like people acting out the lyrics. Don't look at me like that...I'm not that weird.
5. "Face Down" by Red Jumpsuit Apparatus. Wow, random! I haven't heard this song in forever! Usually country music is the genre for "beat-her-down" tunes, not alternative. But despite it's horrifying subject matter, it is an empowering song. "Do you feel like a man, when you push her around...Do you feel better now, that she's fallen to the ground?" Well....do you? Come try and push me face down to the ground, big boy, and I'll knock you into next week.
6. "Firework" by Katy Perry. Ahhhhh!!!! This is our anthem for Jack!!! I always tear up listening to this song..."Boom, boom, boom, even brighter than the moon, moon, moon...It's always been inside of you, you, you, now it's time to let it through." And here I go...
7. "Rise Above This" by Seether. Mmmmmmmmm. Loooooove me some Seether. I love the lead guy's deep, gravely voice. I love this entire album, in fact. It's sorta naughty...especially one song in particular...so don't listen when the kiddo's are in the car. Or when Mom is in town. This song, however, is perfectly clean and lovely.
8. "Howl" by Florence + The Machine. I. Love. Them. Love, love, love. Florence has a voice that is a gift from God and I could listen to her sing for hours. Now the lyrics to this song are a bit...weird.... But who cares. She could sing the Oscar Mayer weiner jingle and I'd be transfixed.
6. "Holiday" by Green Day. Probably one of my favorite Green Day songs, next to "Time of your life" (aka the Seinfeld flashback song). Another one I haven't heard in a while...now I'm curious as to how in the world the iPod Lady chooses songs. Hmmm.
7. "Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na, Na" by My Chemical Romance. My favorite band of all time. LOVE them and I love this new album. Love every single song. Especially this song, it's the first one on the album and it is one catchy little ditty. Even though the name of the song is lame.
8. "Long Road to Ruin" by Foo Fighters. Ok. So maybe they are my favorite band of all time. I love the Foo Fighters so much I can hardly stand it. I love Dave Grohl. Like, I wanna marry Dave Grohl. He's a scary looking beast of a man...but when he sings...holy catoot. "Long road to ruin there in your eyes, under the cold streetlights, no tomorrow no dead end in sight". And "Best of You" was written just for me. Just saying.
9. "Wheels" by Foo Fighters. Ha!! The iPod lady has a crush on Dave Grohl, too! She picked them again!
10. "Monkey Wrench" by Foo Fighters. I am serious. Three in a row. It's fate, they are officially my official favorite. I loooooove this song. I love the lyrics and I love the meaning. "Don't wanna be your monkey wrench...one more incident accident...I'd rather leave than suffer this...I'll never be your monkey wrench". And my favorite part of the song...deep breath in so you can scream it all in one long continuous sentence.."One last thing before I quit, I never wanted any more than I could fit into my hands, I still remember every single word you said and all the sh*t that somehow came along with it, still there's one thing that comforts me since I was always caged and now I'm FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". Gasp for breath.
And for the record...no Google-ing.

Great list! Mine gets on kicks, too, and it annoys the crap out of me, especially in the car. It's like, "I love Taylor Swift, but five songs in a row? That is NOT a shuffle!"
I just had my ipod on shuffle on the way home from school tonight and not one single song came on that i wanted to hear. i skipped to the next song all the way until i pulled in my drive. how pathetic. but! you posted so many songs that i haven't heard so i will look them up on itunes and give my ipod a facelift. thanks for posting!
praying for NED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
