For those of you who may live in our area, we are planning a multi-family benefit garage sale for March 27 and 28. All of the proceeds are going to be split between my sister's family and a good friend of mine, 33 year old Shawn Hull, who was recently placed on the kidney transplant list. Shawn and his wife Felicia recently welcomed their first child five months ago. When Felicia was 8 months pregnant, they were told that Shawn was in kidney failure. Both of these families are facing medical bills and many other unexpected expenses. We need to do what we can for them!! We are currently accepting (and have actually already received MANY) item donations to be sold at the garage sale, and we also plan to sell freshly grilled hot dogs and ice cold drinks (food donations accepted, as well) and will have a jump house for kids to play in. We also have two banners being made, like you see above, and they will be displayed all around town now until the event. We want to make it a fun event that draws in tons of people so that we can collect as much money as possible for both of these sweet families. After the garage sale, Scott and I plan to head on out to Arizona so that we can see Jack and baby Braden and be there to help out Laurie and Zac in any way that we can.
Zac has a great job with great insurance, but co-pays and other expenses are going to start piling up quickly, so Scott has opened a Paypal donation account on Jack's behalf. If any of you would like to donate to the fund, please click the DONATE link below. I know that times are tough right now - believe me, I know - but even a dollar a person adds up!!

I'd love it if you could put the donate button off to the side so that it will always be there and I won't have to search for this post in the future when I want to donate.
Was gonna take the kids to McDonald's but we decided to eat at home and give the money to other families who need it more. I'll try to do this as often as I can.
