With 2:37 left in the game, I was literally sweating, my heart was hammering in my chest, I was light-headed, I was elated, my voice was hoarse, and my mom and I were shreiking together with joy on the phone. We had just watched an amazing run by Fitzgerald for a touchdown, the Cards were ahead by 3 and there was just 157 seconds left in play. It was over, right? Cards won the Super Bowl, RIGHT???Wrong. See above picture.
With 43 seconds left in the game, I was literally sweating, my heart was breaking in my chest, I was light-headed, I was stunned, my voice was hoarse, and my mom and I were texting our misery to eachother. We had just watched a Steeler drive and a nauseating catch for a touchdown. Not only did he catch it, but three of our guys just watched it happen. See above picture.
Game over.
Missed it by THAT much.
