Four more days and the kids and I will be in AZ! Can not wait! The weather looks like it's going to post a bit of a problem for dinner at Ted's house (it was supposed to be outside and now it's going to rain), but I'm sure we'll figure something out.
This weekend was interesting.....you all know what's going on and I don't really want to get into it now. But I got some shopping started for Christmas, so that's always great. We got both our stimulus check and our refund check (we file late in October), so that made it even better! Oh - and the best part? I filled up my Yukon's tank for $32. Yes, that was no typo. $32! That may seem high to some of you, but when gas peaked, it was costing me $98 to fill up. Gas is $1.52 in Sherman now, and I'm loving it.
Cole's flag football team played in the Superbowl on Saturday morning. The Varsity team loaned the flag team their giant inflatable bearcat head so that they could run through it like the Varsity boys do when they're introduced before the game. It was so adorable! You could see them all grouped together inside of the head, the coach had them all excited and they were jumping up and down, hollering to psych themselves up and then they crashed through and all ran together down the sidelines. It was FREEZING cold, so Cole's cheeks were fire engine red when he ran by. The Pilot Point team just dominated us from the first play. These kids were like little machines. It was insane. We had our first shut out, 18 - 0. But it was all good! The boys had fun, they loved that they made it to Superbowl.
So, today is Monday. Cole's Thanksgiving vacation begins tomorrow at Noon. Lucky dog. We only would get off Thursday and Friday. Our flight leaves first thing Thursday morning, and this will be the first time that I've flown with both kids alone. I've done it with one kid multiple times, but not both. Should be interesting. I've got new movies bought for both, coloring books, snacks. Keep them eating and they're usually just fine.
Can't wait!

Yah! You will have such a good time with everyone! Tell everyone I said hi!
I'm acting like I won't see you less than 24 hours. I'll wish a real Happy Thanksgiving then. Okay, that sounded a little naughty. Nevermind.
