Tomorrow I go in to my new part time gig to iron out the final details, meet the girl I'm replacing, etc. And I'm nervous. This is the first time in 10 years that I've worked in a regular job environment, and I'm like...eeeeeeeeek! I mean really, how much will they frown upon Facebooking and Blogging while at work? I'm sure plenty. And what about texting and emailing? I can't give that up! Oh, who am I to complain? I snagged a pretty swank part time job in a job market that's about as unfriendly as my IL's are.
We're about to close our first week of Scott's crazy new schedule...which translates to me being a single momma five nights a week. The kids miss him, and that makes me sad. They ask where he is constantly, and I just tell them that Daddy's going to school right now, and he'll be back when they wake up in the morning. So far that's worked out ok, I hope it lasts another six months.
Abbey found a ruler in a drawer the other night, and she held it up and inspected it for a minute. Then she cocked her head and asked, "Was this Bubba's back when he was an artitect (architect)?" I wan't sure what to laugh harder at...the fact that she knew what an "artitect" was or imagining planning out your dream home with a man named Bubba...
