Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig

Yippee. We're home.

Can't you feel my excitement?

We're expecting freezing rain and an all around craptacular weather day tomorrow. Ah, sunny Arizona. Why did we leave? Oh, that's right. Cole has school, we have work, bills....sigh.

We had a great time. I love my family. They're the bestest. We always have a great time, we always laugh. I can't wait until we're all together again.

I'll post my pictures tomorrow, I promise.

Yes, I'm sad to be home. But this is a new year! And it's going to be MY year. Right before we left, we bought ourselves a new eliptical machine. It's by Nordic Track, and it's really nice. I can plug my i-Pod into it and it has integrated speakers! And the best part? It has this thing called i-Fit. You can purchase these workout SD cards (just like what you put into your digital camera) that you plug into the machine. They are pre-loaded with workouts that automatically adjust the speed, tension, height, etc to go along with the workout. I got the first and second Jillian from the Biggest Loser workout cards. Each card is an 8 week program for three day per week workouts. So, I've got 16 weeks waiting for me. And it all starts tomorrow!! This time tomorrow, my fanny will have been properly kicked into gear by Jillian. I've got about 7 weeks before we leave to go to Puerto Vallarta. In 7 weeks I hope to be at least 15 pounds lighter. That's totally doable. And Jillian and I are going to get there together.

Well, it's about time and thanks to this stupid icy weather I won't see you until tomorrow.

Go you with your new workout program! This IS your year, except...dare I bring up the fact that you did not eat cabbage or black eyed peas on New Years Day? Gasp!

I heard your family was really nice. Especially the matriarch. My New Year resolution is to adopt a healthier lifestyle. Day 2 of alcohol free. My liver is happy. I'm going to eat healthier and do some sort of exercise every day - walk, treadmill, run up and down the steps at our home - something. I saw the picture of me from behind sitting in my robe and I so needed a "wide load" sign on my back. Ugh. Every time I think I'll be tempted to be "unhealthy," I'll just think of that god-awful picture. And tell Leigh that our nationality doesn't eat cabbage and black eyed peas on any day, especially New Years.
