Confessions of a Crazed Woman

My own version of a Holiday Confessional, inspired by The Queen...

I found two presents I forgot to wrap and give to Abbey in a closet last night.  That's four whole days after Christmas.  Nice.

I still have shreds of wrapping paper on the living room floor.

I'm waiting for the Elves to come and take down my tree.  Because I have zero interest in taking it down and I'm considering just leaving it there because Christmas will be here again before you know it!

My house smells like a skunk and I have no idea why.  I mean stinks.  No Yankee Candle made has been able to get rid of the smell.  Fabreez needs to come and do a case study.

I'm considering enrolling in this season's Biggest Loser.  The term "holiday weight" doesn't even begin to describe my problem.

I'm sad because I can no longer use the threat, "Knock it off!  Santa is WATCHING!".  Now what will I do?

I was bummed I didn't have more to open this year.  Yes we decided to give to the kids instead of each other because things are squeaky tight right now.  Yes, my thought is totally selfish and totally childish and having lots of presents for me is totally NOT what the Christmas season is about.  I get that.  But I was still a little sad.

I haven't shaved my legs since before Christmas.  TMI?  Perhaps.

On Christmas Eve I was worried that the alcohol mixing "rule" also pertained to different brands of wine.  But I was too afraid to ask Scott because he would have made so much fun of me.  So I just drank the one brand and stopped after a measly glass and a half.  So...can I mix wine?

There is nothing funnier than watching your child fall down face first into the snow.  And I'm giggling just thinking about it.  And I'm sending up a prayer of forgiveness for it right now.

I'm so sick of turkey and I am thrilled to not have it again for 11 months.
