One single solitary decoration anywhere in sight...crickets chirping...
Sigh. Why aren't I in the spirit this year?? I usually love, adore, CRAVE Christmastime. WTF, people?? What is my problem? My kids are bursting for Santa to hurry up and get here, and I haven't even bought a tree yet. Am I alone here? Is anyone else just not feeling it? I'm a total Scroogey McScroogerstein.
This weekend I pledge to buy a tree. AND decorate it. This weekend I plan to get the lights up. Notice I said, "I" will get the lights up. I have not in 11 years of marriage been able to get Scott to EVER put up Christmas lights, I always end up doing it. But I digress. This weekend I will find my Christmas spirit.
Damn it.
On a side note! Look how cute these are of the kids last night with Santa!! We went to a party last night at a local store and they had a Santa, so I had to get the kids in their outfits!! Check out Abbey's fab boots!

dude, our tree and lights have been up since the day after thanksgiving AND all of our shopping is done and presents are wrapped and under the tree. yes, you can hate me now :)
Oh yeah, Marie....well....your cat sat on your tree and broke it. So there.
Meant to tell you I like the new Christmas background.
I LOVE the pics of the kids! So precious!
We put up the tree/fireplace decorations Thanksgiving night, but decided not to decorate the outside this year. So, I get ya. For me, Christmas just arrived WAY too fast and when you live far away from family, it sort of feels like, "What's the point?"
