Monday, Monday

What a weekend. We had Cole's birthday party on Saturday! Everyone had a great time, and I think that it went really well. He got loads of nifty stuff, and had a ball playing with all the kids.

Mom and Dad got here late Friday (early Saturday), and were woken up by Lil Miss Hot Stuff at 8:30. She picks right up where they left off at the last visit - always remembers Nana and "Bumpa". That's Dad's new name. She couldn't say Grandpa, so we borrowed what my Grandpa used to be called and she can sure say it! It was like she was all happy that she finally had something to call him because it was always, "Where's Bumpa at? Where'd Bumpa go? There's Bumpa!" Cole beat Mom to a pulp playing Wii, but I don't think that Dad ever played him. I think he was too afraid...

We spent most of the day Sunday at the pool - Mom actually GOT IN THE POOL - and cooked out for Mom's birthday - which is TODAY! Happy Birthday, Mummy!

Mom had to leave early this morning, and when I went into Abbey's room this morning to get her out of bed she scowled at me and asked, "Where's Nana at?". Love you too, baby!

It wasn't hard to say bye to Mom at all this time. We're going to Destin in just three short weeks - which as you all know is going to be heaven on earth for us all. We all need this vacation so much and we are all so looking forward to it. Cole got a remote control tarantula and can't wait to "freak out Zac" with it. We all have our motivations for being excited, I guess!

Dad is still here (he had a meeting with is boss today), so I'm not sure what we'll be doing for the rest of today. I'm sure that we'll probably go out tonight for dinner, or maybe we'll hang out and grill.

Now I'm giving a shout out to baby Ryan Samoff (nephew to Leigh and Sid) who entered this world Friday to an eagerly awaiting mob of friends and family. He was nice and chubby and healthy and super cute. What more can you ask for?

I'm glad Coley's party was a hit! Wish we could have been there - I know a party ain't no party if the Pye's aren't in attendance, but I'm glad you all managed. Ha!

Cole is 6. Abbey is almost 2. I'm almost 30. We are all getting way too old.

Glad you had a great visit with the 'rents!

Arrived home exhausted but happy Monday morning. Tough part was putting in a full day's work. but wasn't too tired to stop by Macy's on my way home and pick up a new pair of shoes! Priorities, priorities. Thanks for a super great time - as usual. Love being there. Wish it was at least once a month! But then you might hear "when's Nana going?"
