Wow. I almost missed a day of posting.I lost my favorite pair of sunglasses, dammit. Do you have any idea how annoying that is? They fit perfectly, didn't squeeze my brain out of my head, didn't slide down my nose, my eyelashes didn't touch the insides of the lenses. Since I have a Charlie Brown head, it's sort of hard to find sunglasses that fit and don't look like the ones you have to wear home from the eye doctor after he dilates your eyes. Surprise, surprise I ended up finding a pair at TJ Maxx that fit good and are actually pretty cute. They're Betsey Johnson's and I only paid $18 for them on sale. Woo Hoo!!
So what is it about kids? Yesterday Abbey was perfectly healthy and her nose was free of oozing goop. Fast forward to this morning and her nose is no longer goop free. I can't get over how fast they get sick. She isn't terribly ill, she has an upper respiratory infection and is on antibiotics. Thankfully she's always a happy kid, and other than the oozing goop, you'd really never know that she was even feeling bad. At least this all happened before we left instead of in the middle of the night while staying in Baton Rouge on our way to Florida.
Scott is out with his brother right now doing who knows what. I'm sure that Jimmy is calling home ever seven seconds or so to check and make sure that Chantell and Sydney are surviving alright without him. I guarantee I won't hear from Scott until I hear the back door open later tonight. Hey - no complaints. We all enjoy our space. Cole is sitting next to me right now watching cartoons and building a pillow fort on the bed. I'm trying my hardest to sit perfectly still so that I don't upset the pillows and in turn keep Cole happy. He gets a little worked up over his pillow forts. This is serious business, folks. I figure I'll let him build away for another thirty minutes or so and then it's off to bed so that Mummy can have some peace and quiet. Too bad that I'm not in the middle of a book right now. I just hate not having something to read.
We leave Friday. I'm so excited I'm about to pee myself.

umm...are you not going to get a book for the road trip? you have to get a book for the road trip, you just have to.
oh wait, you'll be reaching behind you every three seconds to deal with the kids cuz you know, they'll drop their snacks, drop their juice cups, won't like the movie that's on, they'll be hot, they'll be cold....*sigh*. can you tell i don't like road trips.
but at least you'll be all cute in your new sunglasses!
I have the same problem with sunglasses! And now I'm all worried I too have a Charlie Brown head (which I don't think you do). I have a few pairs of fancy Brighton sunglasses, but the best pair I own I bought on the street corner in New York City. $8 baby!
When are you NOT losing your sunglasses? You'll find them in two days or less, no doubt about it.
