Did somebody say muffin??? Mmmmmm

I've opened and shut the "new post" page at least a dozen times in the past several days. I just have nothing to say.

Blah Blah Blah.

I guess I'm in a bit of a funk this week. A little cranky, a tad depressed. And for no REAL reason - really. We have a bunch of things going on right now and I should be excited.

Happenings:

Going to lunch today with Leigh. Love that. Can't wait.

Going to Half Shells tonight with everyone to celebrate Chantell and Abbey's birthdays. Love that. Can't wait.

Throwing Taylor a baby shower on Saturday. Should be fabulous. Love that. Can't wait.

Going to the Kyle Ranch Party and WEF Benefit (of which I'm the Vice President thank you very much) on Saturday night. Should be fun and got a great new outfit for it. Love that. Can't wait.

Hanging out with Abbey, Sydney and Chantell on Sunday while the boys go to the Cowboy's game on Sunday afternoon. We were given four tickets by Foxworth's and Scott, Cole, Jimmy and Scott Green are all going. It's also Abbey's actual 2nd birthday. Love that. Can't wait.

Just found out that Paula (the one who is opening the store and taking me to Fashion Week) - whose husband Larry literally has a million AA frequent flyer miles - booked us first class to our Scottsdale trip November 6. REALLY love that. REALLY can't wait.

Now, what do I have to be depressed about? Not to sound like a totally whiny female, the kind we all can't stand - but I feel fat. And I'm doing nothing about it. And that makes me even more upset. See, I'm going to Scottsdale with Paula (who is thin and adorable) and Holly (who is smokin' thin and has great boobs). And I feel like the frump with the fat face and the broad back and the ham hock arms and the fantastic muffin top. So - what can I do to snap out of this? I know, get on the treadmill and lose the weight, finally. I know what I need to do, and for some reason the motivation isn't there. I'm just reveling in my self pity and that makes me even MORE disgusted with myself. So - here's what I'm going to do. I'm taking Leigh's long ago advice and posting on here my workout regimen daily. If I fail to treadmill it, please chastise me, please holler at me, please remind me of my goals. Sorry for the whiny, needy post. Truly, I am.

Monday: Nothing
Tuesday: 1 hour with trainer at gym (but honestly I've been going for over a year and I have no visible results - super!)

Stacey, you are so beautiful and you don't even know it, but I guess that just makes you charming and more loveable.

You have SIX weeks before Scottsdale. I guarantee you if you walk/run on the treadmill 4 or 5 times per week for SIX WEEKS you will be absolutely thrilled at the results.

I'm going to send you another spreadsheet (I know, Queen of Excel here), this time for calorie and exercise tracking. Just try to use if for one day and see if you like it. Gosh, I am a total dork, but I promise it is a motivational savior.

Oh, and if working with Trainer Scott isn't giving you results anymore, drop him and spend the money you save on a fabulous new handbag. Seriously!

Queen of Excel, I want to see this spreadsheet of yours!

So why aren't you and Leigh walking together? I thought you guys were neighbors for some reason.....just wondering.

I know you can do it! I used to take pics of hot celebs and put them everywhere and be like "oh ya Jennifer Aniston, you just wait till I get on the treadmill tonight!"

Can't wait to hear about your progress!

The reason you haven't seen results from the trainer is because you only go once or twice a week. To see results you have to exercise a minimum of 4xs per week. To maintain you do it 3xs per week. There's no secret - less calories, more exercise = weight loss. Leigh is right - write it down. We always over guess our exercise time and under guess our calorie intake! You'd be amazed at what you actually consume. And stay away from the muffins. 1200 calories a day. 1 hr of exercise a day - walking, weights, dancing in the middle of the room - whatever. Break it up - 20 min morning, 20 min lunch, 20 min evening. Whatever. You CAN do it, so quit your whining and get going.

Love,
Your chubby mother
